Maryanne Goetz, a Native of Kenya in East Africa the land of the Wildlife Safaris and the Big 5! She has lived in the United States for over 20 years and have been a North Carolina licensed massage therapist since 2003.
Maryanne graduated from the Medical Arts Massage School in 2003 as a Massage & Bodywork Therapist. Her focus is on pain and stress relieving massage therapy techniques and modalities.
Since graduating from Massage Therapy school, she has continued to advance her education and has over 1500 credit hours in continuing education specifically to advance in Clinical massage therapy modalities to enhance her practice. Some of her certifications include Medical Massage Practitioner, Complete Decongestive Therapy-(CDT Lymphedema Therapy), Neuromuscular Therapy, Neuromuscular reprograming, MediCupping/VacuTherapies, Myofascial Release, Massage for patients living with Cancer, Mastectomy Scar release among others.
Maryanne meets the highest standards in Massage Therapy training that led to her being Nationally certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). She is also a Certified Member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals-ABMP.
Maryanne enjoys time with her husband– Stephen and their seven children and three grandchildren. When not working, she enjoys photography, travelling, hiking, cooking, singing with her church choir. She is also actively involved in her migrant community.

Maryanne specializes in Medical massage and Pain management. In integrating her training techniques above with Trigger point therapy, deep tissue, myofascial and Swedish massage.
In her work with Oncology patients, Maryanne pays attention to the various stages her clients are at in their Cancer treatment and customizes sessions to give comfort and reduce stress and pain related to the disease and side effects of treatment.
With clients who have had breast mastectomies Maryanne uses special techniques to reduce scar tissue and tightness in the areas around the breast. While doing this work, special attention is paid to the surrounding areas of the body to open lymph drainage and eliminate any residual lymphedema (swelling) associated with removal of lymphnodes during mastectomy procedures. This work helps to increase range of motion and flexibility in the shoulders, upper back and neck areas.
